The food in general was fabulous. The crab cakes were the best I have had anywhere in the country. The coffee crusted burger was absolute perfection and cooked exactly as asked. The shrimp bang bang po boy was delicious and could not be beat even in New Orleans. Our server, Cassidy, was phenomenal from getting me a fruit skewer for my beer to orchestrating our meal so the timing was perfect.

Had to stop in Laurel to see the town that Ben and Erin made famous on their HGTV show. I researched local restaurants for dinner and The Loft was a clear winner. While visiting some of the local shops, everyone that we mentioned The Loft to couldn’t say give it enough praise calling out specific menu items that were their favorites. It did not disappoint! We enjoyed crab cakes as an appetizer and then we each had a steak (prime rib for me and filet for her). Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our server Jasmine was very attentive and quick to get anything we needed. A musician just a few feet away playing folksy covers was quite good and only loud enough to create a nice background ambiance. Can’t wait to come back to Laurel and experience other items on the menu!

Came to visit Laurel on New Year’s Eve and this joint is just about the only restaurant that’s open. Should’ve thought about this before making the 7 hours drive. lol BUT, the food is awesome!! Given it’s the only place opened, the wait is about 40 min at 6:30pm. We had the crab cake stack for appetizer and whatever they put in the sauce is AMAZING!! When we were looking at the menu, the table next to us had a big fat chunk of pork chop and the lady gave us the thumbs up claiming it’s the best item on the menu, so that’s what the husband ordered. No kidding it’s hands down the BEST pork chop we ever had!! It’s about an inch and some thick and it’s cooked perfectly and juicy all the way. I had the blackened red fish and the flavor is wonderful. If we ever come back to Laurel we will definitely stop again!

The Loft is my absolute favorite restaurant! I always say to order literally anything on their menu, & it’s delicious. Their steaks are definitely top shelf. A perfect appetizer is an order of steak bites; then, order seafood or pasta as an entree. My personal favorite is a Shrimp Po-boy! The side options are endless- fries, sweet potato fries, baked potato, bacon wrapped asparagus etc… it goes on- Dessert is decadent- of course..you are full, but share cheesecake with friends, with either chocolate or white chocolate drizzle! It’s divine! Their pastas are excellent, & the pork chop is quite tasty- The service is always on point, & the atmosphere is quaint, relaxed, enjoyable. It’s an old restored building with a lovely dark wood trim & bar area, very beautiful. Outdoor dining is available there in a garden setting. Whether it’s a birthday, Anniversary or a Wednesday nite, the Loft offers something for all. I recommend it to many people weekly.

Absolutely fabulous experience. Food was absolutely delicious and priced reasonably. Had the 14oz Ribeye and Fried large Gulf shrimp. Both cooked to perfection and seasoned just right! Also had crab cakes and fried green tomatoes with a delicious reumalade sauce! Also has a absolutely delicious peach sangria 🍷 drink with 🍑 peach schnapps rum and fruit (yummy!). Atmosphere was also excellent 👍 Place has the feel of an upscale restaurant with reasonable prices. If you want delicious steak and seafood this is the place! Reservation only and they go fast! Wait staff and hostess are very nice folks who try hard to please as well!!
